Easy Apple Strudel
I love any and all apple desserts. Apple strudel is one of my favorites. I’ve also learned everyone tends to have an different opinion on how it should be made. I like a strudel that’s crispy on the outside, soft and doughy on the inside. I like my apples on the softer side, and sliced super thin. No raisins, ever.
I’m also a firm believer in working smarter, not harder where applicable, and absolutely appreciate a frozen puff pastry. I tend to always buy the Pepperidge Farm brand. It has never failed me, so this recipe is tailored to those sheets.
What you’ll need:
1 box frozen Pepperidge Farm puff pastry (2 sheets)
4 med/large Granny Smith apples
1/4 cup sugar and sugar for sprinkling
2 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 cup whole milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp sugar

Make sure your puff pastry sheets have been thawed already in the fridge.
