“It takes 4 weeks to get used to anything,” said Dino Antinori, who I used to run with in the early 1990’s. “It’s true for exercise, work, or even living with another person.” He was 20 years older than me. The exact thing I was doing at the time that needed this four weeks of dedication was increasing my stamina to run a faster ten mile race. Dino had kindly taken me out for a “ten mile plus” run which ended up being fourteen with some very tough hills included. The following week he made it eighteen.
